Details Cusco to Machu Picchu by Train
On Day 1, we pick you up at 8:00 am and drive to Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley. From there, board the train to Aguas Calientes, enjoying the stunning scenery. You will have free time to explore the village and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. In the evening, we gather for a group dinner and discuss plans for the following day. Overnight stay is at a hotel in Aguas Calientes.
On Day 2, take the shuttle bus to Machu Picchu for a guided tour of this remarkable Inca citadel, featuring terraces, plazas, buildings, and astronomical observatories. After the tour, you have free time to explore on your own. For those who pre-booked Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, climbs are scheduled in designated time slots. Later, return to Aguas Calientes for lunch, then take the train back to Ollantaytambo and transfer by bus to Cusco, ending at San Francisco Plaza.
