OVERVIEW
Are you ready to explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas? Discover the fascinating Inca stone constructions of Moray and the Salt Mines of Maras, two of the most remarkable highlights of the Sacred Valley!
Moray was an ancient agricultural testing center for the Incas. This archaeological complex features a series of circular terraces designed to simulate various altitudes and climate zones, allowing the Incas to experiment with different crops.
The Maras Salt Mines consist of approximately 4,200 pools. Each pool, a few square meters in size, collects saltwater from a stream that flows from the heart of the mountain. Through the sun’s evaporation, the water crystallizes, creating the natural marvel known as Maras Pink Salt.
