Pick-up from your hotel will be between 6:30 am and 7:00 am. Once the entire group is complete, we will head north. Our first stop will be Chinchero, a picturesque village where we will see agricultural terraces, the remains of the royal estate of Túpac Inca Yupanqui, and a beautiful colonial temple built on the foundations of an Inca building. We will also observe the entire wool processing, from washing to spinning, and see how beautiful textiles are made.
Continuing on, we will arrive at Moray, where we will explore the natural depressions that were used as agricultural terraces for experimentation. Our next stop will be in Urubamba, where we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch.
After lunch, we will head to the Salineras de Maras, where we will witness the natural process of salt extraction dating back to Inca times. We will then proceed to the Ollantaytambo Fortress, built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and protect it from potential invasions by jungle inhabitants. After the visit, we will return to Urubamba for our buffet lunch. Following lunch, we will head to the village of Pisac to visit the Pisac Archaeological Complex, built during the reign of Inca Pachacuti. Its strategic location atop a mountain offers a commanding view of the valley leading to the Antisuyo region. After the tour, we will return to Cusco, arriving approximately at 7:00 pm.
