We will begin the day very early and pick you up from your respective hotels between 4:00 and 4:30 am. From there we will drive towards the district of Quehue, in the Canas province. We will drive for about 3 hours and then stop and enjoy a nutritious breakfast together.
After breakfast, we will visit the last remaining Quechuan bridge in Cusco, called Q’eshuachaka (also spelled Q’eswachaka), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This bridge is made out of qoya fiber, a material obtained from an indigenous plant and constructed by ichu, a high altitude grass and logs tied to a stone structure. It is renewed every year in June with a ceremony between several local communities. We will have time to take photos and our guide will teach you about the history of the bridge and about our Incan culture. After visiting the bridge we will continue our journey 1 hour more to the circuit of 4 lakes (which include Pomacanchi, Acopia, Asnaqocha and Pampamarca). Here we will enjoy our lunch with a beautiful view of one of the lakes. We will also have time to explore and take in the incredible nature of this amazing place. Finally, we will return to Cusco, where you will be dropped off at Plaza Regocijos.
