MACHU PICCHU BY TRAIN (FULL DAY)

We will pick you up at 03:00 am then drive for 1.5 hours to the village of Ollantaytambo, located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will take our train to Aguas Calientes, enjoying the beautiful scenery during the train ride. Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes, we will take the shuttle bus up to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, the “Lost City of the Incas“. This complex is considered a jewel of the Inca architecture. It is a complete town with different quarters, squares, alleys, buildings, astronomical observatories and terraces. The city was rediscovered on July 24, 1911 by the US researcher Hiram Bingham. We will learn everything about the Inca civilization and interesting facts about this sacred place. After a guided tour,we will have enough time to explore this magical place by ourselves. Later, we will catch the shuttle bus down to the village of Aguas Calientes, and have lunch at a local restaurant. At 02:55 pm we will take our train back to Ollantaytambo, where our transfer staff will pick us up and take us back to our hotel in Cusco. 

NOTE: It is not possible to visit Huayna Picchu Mountain nor Machu Picchu Mountain on this tour due to the fact that this visit to the citadel takes place during the second shift of Machu Picchu visits, which does not permit climbs to the mountains.
