Immerse yourself in the magic and beauty of Cusco, and discover the fascinating Inca history on this half day city tour. Cusco was considered the Navel of the World by the ancient Inca civilization, the largest ancient civilization in pre-Columbian America. You will visit the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha), the Cathedral of Cusco, and the fascinating four Inca archaeological sites located in the outskirts of the city – Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay, Qenqo, and Puca Pucara. Our professional guide will share his knowledge about these incredible places and history with you.
We will meet at the cathedral in the Plaza de Armas (if you are staying at a hotel far from the plaza, we will come to pick you up from your hotel). After touring the cathedral we will walk along the streets of the Incas from Plaza de Armas to Q’oricancha (Temple of the Sun) where we will observe the construction methods of the Incan culture and Catholicism. Inside Q’oricancha you will visit four enclosures that were dedicated to different deities (sun, moon, stars and lightning). After we will take our transportation to the majestic archaeological site of Sacsayhaman where we will participate in a guided tour.
From here we will continue our excursion to the archaeological site of Q’enqo, which offers great views of Cusco. We will then visit the Inca ruins of Puca Pucara, a small Inca fort, and finally, we will visit the archaeological site of Tambomachay; a temple dedicated to water that has impressive Inca canals. We will then drive back to the Plaza de Armas of Cusco, where the tour will end.
Amazing company 😀
We had a great time with KB Adventures, our tour guide Elias was amazing, taught us a lot about Quechua language, was very knowledgeable and lots of fun. Really well organised and the campsites are lovely.
